About United States Coast Guard Sector SeattleSector Seattle executes of the full range of Coast Guard missions, including Maritime Safety, Maritime Security, Protection of Natural Resources, Maritime Mobility, and National Defense, in an Area of Responsibility that encompasses the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound, inland waters extending eastward to Montana/North Dakota, and the outer coast south to the Queets river and out 200nm. The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the volunteer civilian branch of the Coast Guard, is an integral member of the Sector Seattle organization and supports all its missions. In functions other than law enforcement, Auxiliarists augment Active Duty and Reserve personnel and share their tasking. Sector Seattle Auxiliary Support NewsJan Jenne (FL 81) has accepted the position of Sector Support Team Administrator. She is a retired administrative assistant with great computer skills and will fill an important niche. Patrick Kern (FL 33)and John Milczewski (FL 11) are now co-coordinating Operation Trash Compactor and doing the data entry in their respective halves of the AOR. We apologize that the data entry got a little behind for a couple of weeks, but it is now all up to snuff. Drew West (FL 19) has joined Clay Gravelle (FL 23) in providing web site services for the Sector Support site.
